Frankly, that’s actually what’s taken this long to get this review out. I decided to give it one more shot, this time without the honey syrup. I am, however, infinitely glad that I didn’t. I was pretty ready to write off this drink on the first try and call it a loss. Minus the flying stabby-stabbys, of course. It was like smacking myself in the face with a beehive at full capacity. I personally didn’t care for the honey flavor at all. Starbucks uses a honey syrup so you get that intense honey flavor but it also helps the stuff flow better through the pumps they use. The ‘honey’ part of this drink isn’t just honey out of some Winnie the Pooh reject bottle from the super market. I settled on the Almond Milk Flat White with Honey.įirst, you need to know a little bit about this drink. Being intensely allergic to anything that comes from a mammal, including dairy, I just had to try one.

Granted, we’ve been able to replace dairy products in drinks at Starbucks for some time now but never have we been able to enjoy coffees and lattes that were specifically made to be plant-based. So in their effort to give back to the environment and make their business model more sustainable, Starbucks has not only made the move towards phasing out plastic straws by the end of 2020 but have launched a line of drinks made with plant based ingredients rather than dairy. Hello, trail blazers and coffee celebrators! Holy Java, do I have something to tell you about!
